DIRTY TOOTHY TABS from Lush

I wasn't sure at first (despite belief to the contrary, I am actually careful about what I put in my mouth) but these tiny teeth cleaning tabs are simply ingenious. Pop one in your mouth, crunch it up and then start brushing with a wet toothbrush. Within seconds your mouth will be full of teeth sparkling foam. Often I trial products, use them a few times and move on; these however are here to stay, my teeth were not only clean, but also whiter – so white I use them as a night time reading light!

The original maxO was good, but Anthony its creator (who seriously defies his age – the man looks amazing) promised me that the new improved formula was going to make me look/feel young again (perhaps it should come with a sandblaster). LONGER LUSCIOUS LASHES…

Recently I visited Love Those Lashes in Paddington, Sydney, where Amrita worked her magic on me, giving me the most natural looking luscious eyelashes I have ever seen. The treatment took about an hour and was so relaxing that I nodded off for most of it. I was worried at first that they would look too obviously fake (with my masculine edge to maintain this was a no-go), but the team at Love Those Lashes have perfected just the right amount of mink lashes to use on a man. I have lived 37 years with short, stumpy eyelashes, but now even my sisters are jealous as I sit fluttering them at family lunch. Just for the girls? Absolutely not!

When I went to Germany for the official release of this line of products from BIODROGA I was skeptical. Very rarely are the products designed for highly sensitive skin much more than a marketing gimmick. Stick the old line “hypoallergenic” on the bottle and all of a sudden you have skin care that is for sensitive skin - NOT! Medic Skin is however different to all the others. I have never worked with a more skin-compatible product line. It is free from colours, fragrances, emulsifiers, and preservatives and is nearly identical to the skin’s own natural protection. This compatability means your skin won’t even know it is wearing moisturizer.

Breath of fresh air

I was first introduced to LUSH by a one-night stand that brought a LUSH bath-bomb over with him. I think it was to woo me, (little did he know he need not have bothered, back then, hormones guaranteed I was a sure thing!). We never made it to the bathtub, but I did eventually get to use that bomb - with someone else no doubt – and it was delicious.

This freshening spray from LUSH is packed with seawater and aloe and is perfect as a pick-me-up at any time of the day. It has found its place into my gym bag and I can often be seen spritzing myself between 100kg squats – ok, so even I think there is something very wrong about what I just wrote!
